Our Farming

We aim to produce high-quality crops while using resources carefully and maintaining healthy soils. We use a combination of established farming practices and modern technology to improve efficiency and reduce our impact on the land.

Crop Rotation

We rotate the crops grown in our fields, including cauliflower, spring wheat and field beans. Rotating crops helps manage weeds, pests and diseases while maintaining soil health and reducing the need for inputs.

Cover Crops

We grow cover crops to protect the soil between main crops. They help reduce erosion, retain moisture and improve soil structure, while also providing habitat and food for wildlife.

Over-Winter Stubble

After harvest, some fields are left with over-winter stubble. This provides food and shelter for birds and other wildlife, while helping to protect the soil from erosion and retain moisture.

GPS-Guided Machinery

Our tractors use GPS guidance to work accurately across the fields. This helps reduce overlapping passes, saving fuel and limiting unnecessary soil compaction. More precise working also allows us to target operations such as weed control where they are needed.
