Growing at Buddles Farm since 1954

P.R. Bones & Son was established in 1954 and has been based at Buddles Farm, between Broadstairs and Margate on the Isle of Thanet, since 1963.

In the early years, the farm produced a wide range of vegetables and top fruit, alongside keeping 13,000 hens for egg production. Over time, the business developed a more specialised approach to crop production.

Today, Buddles Farm is known for growing cauliflower, Romanesco and a range of niche and newer cauliflower varieties. We also grow spring wheat under seed contracts, producing certified seed crops for the agricultural sector.

Now in its fourth generation, the farm continues to focus on growing fresh produce and developing the crops and farming practices suited to the land.
