What is the Pumpkin Barn?
The Pumpkin barn at Buddles Farm is your fun, family friendly pumpkin buying experience. The barn is decorated with spectacular Halloween decorations and characters.
There is parking on hardstanding and concrete floors which makes this an all-weather Halloween outing with nearly no mud! Ideal for wheelchairs and push chairs.
We have selected the best varieties of pumpkins, grown them in our fields and have hand selected the best for you to enjoy. Whether you’re looking for a monster carving pumpkin (variety called magician) or cute display pumpkins (variety called crunchkin) the barn has it all. We even have tasty cooking pumpkins/squashes, perfect for making a warming soup for when you get home. We’ve got everything covered.
History of the Pumpkin Barn
The enterprise was started in 2014, selling pumpkins from the field, at the road side from a tractor and trailer. To combat the unpredictable, autumnal weather, in 2017 we moved the enterprise into the farm yard, inside the barn. The choice to move inside the barn, was made after seeing how much the public enjoyed the authentic, direct from farm experience. We wanted to keep the authenticity of the trailer, but improve the overall accessiblity for all abilities and ages, regardless of the weather conditions.
Since then, the barn has transformed and is now brimming with pumpkins galore. The team has great fun decorating the barn ready for customers, many of whom return every year making it a family tradition.
